Artpasifikrim was created by Michelle Page in 2001.

Michelle worked in the New Zealand film industry as a Hair makeup artist for 10 years. Over the next few years she sailed to remote islands of Melanesia Vanuatu with her fiancée where they delivered medical and school supplies. Seeing the need for representation for Vanuatu artists she became an agent for several Vanuatu artists and formed a data base to display their work globally, and Galleries in NZ.

Michelle approached the NZ Pacific Island Investment Commission, and proceeded with funding to hold two succeful Pacific island exhibitions in Auckland, Oceania links 2002 and Pacific links in 2003. Her interest in Pacific Art then led her own to obtain a Bachelor of Applied Arts B.A.A. in 2006.

Recently Michelle has started an Artist Residency offering Individual artists a creative self directed accommodation and studio/gallery space in the Historic seaside town of Russell Bay of islands NZ, where they can do workshops or exhibit their work, and interchange with local artists.
